So on Saturday night I went to my good friend Charlotte's leaving party. As I posted earlier that day I had my eye make-up done at the MAC counter.
I had this done at about 4pm and had to traipse around some more shops with eyes like that and I really felt absolutely ridiculous! But when the evening rolled around and I did my hair and put my dress on I actually felt it looked rather subtle so I think that the eye make up was totally inappropriate for day-time wear but perfect for a Black tie party. I have given up heat on my hair BUT last night was a super special occasion so I made a little exception (naughty naughty tut tut etc).
My dress is from Warehouse and it was on sale (yay!). I kept my lips nude with MAC - Hue and I tried to keep my face make-up subtle too. I used my Korres foundation (This is fast becoming an HG product i adore it) and NARS 'Laguna' and NARS 'madly' on my apples.
This is my friend Sophie, the party-girl herself Charlotte and her little sister Sophie and MEEEE. - They all had such fabulous long hair it made me absolutely hate my short hair blaahhhh! But oh well everyone needs to look different don't they!
I hate this photo (above) - my face is ridiculous (what pose is that!!? ugh!) but it probably shows my make-up the best and I wanted to show off my statement ring from http://www.loveheartsandcrosses.co.uk as I think it just looked amazing with my outfit! Charlotte went a bit 'sweet sixteen' on us and changed her dress half way through - and she looked stunning in both.
Above is a picture of the table Char had set up which was covered in photos of every guest and we had to find our photo/s and stick it in her 'leaving book' and write her a goodbye message! Such a cute idea she can treasure that forever. The page on the right is my page!
Enough photo digression I shall move onto Sunday which was my grandma's 80th birthday party! :) Such a fun, nice, family day!

ReplyDelete@princess sparkles- try and go have a facial somewhere (anywhere!) and they can examine your skin properly and ask them for samples of skincare and see if they help!
@victoria- yeah do it they are professionals so it always goes right and i don't end up getting stressed!
@teri - haha it went reallyy flat i prefer it with way more volume but I just blow dried and used GHD's on it. thank you :)

@thebeautyspeak- I would say it's much better than smashbox, I only used my smashbox once as i felt it made my skin horrible dry and made my pores MORE obvious. The L'oreal makes your skin feel so smooth and perfect/
@Aleksis - HAHAHA aw that was such an unexpected but nice comment! Yup i use a tonne of mascara to get them so long.

I honestly don't have the confidence to go anywhere without make-up on my skin to try to cover the badness or else i would do but i look so "ugly" without anything on my skin
ReplyDelete@Princesskayfay go in there with make-up on and then they can take it off for you, you can keep eye make-up on and then bring a hoodie and sunglasses and run out the shop to the car and then you're home! easy!xxx
